Awesome vs. Awesome: New Music old artist favs with periods in their names...M.I.A. /\/\/\\//\vs N.E.R.D. Nothing

An attempt at a free
Flowing stream of iPhone conscientiousness...abridged due to loss of original...

Damn...blogging on an iPhone is a dangerous endeavor! I just lost a
Somewhat amazing post about the awesomeness factors of M.I.A. and her new album /\/\/\\//\ versus N.E.R.D. And their new album Nothing. Double clicked my start button and lost it all..."it takes a
Muscle (to fall in love)"

off the controversial and colorful MIA and "I See the Light" off of Pharrell's fresh new and if course dope new album. If you got 23 bucks cop 'em both and experience sound in 2010!

Ps...is punctuation dead with this whole iPhone predictive crap?!

Practice What you Peat

My submission via liquor.com to become a distiller at Glenrothes Whisky in Scotland: a short essay 50 words or less describing why you should be their new distiller:

Not just water, malted barley, and peat, peat, peat. The bagpipes distill our soul as we mark our blacked out words with ‘irrehensible’ comradery and laughter as each jaunt with caramel and spice tantalize taste buds of aged "oaky" hearts. Gilded in my veins of pleated MacLean, let me practice what I peat.

Getting Paid to Write?!

Intermittently and sporadically I blotted my resume ink stains dry.
Jobless writer it should say, sometime smeared.
However, sometimes coffee stains meticulously and miraculously dot my eyes
Pages dotted with tears sweat and blood
Tears falling like the forgotten dot of my "un"capitalized i.
Down the page as if gravity wanted it to fall
Into a period.
of ink.
on page.

Brasil v Uruguay rematch of 1950 in 2014

My prediction, Brasil will play Uruguay in a classic rematch of the 1950 finals where Uruguay beat Brasil on its turf. Lets see how it turns out! Thanks South Africa for a wonderful World Cup that featured a strong showing by South American nations, especially Paraguay and Uruguay and featured a final of two nations that have never won a World Cup. Welcome Spain to an elite group of now eight countries to boast the honor of Campeon del Mundo! See you in Brasiil 2014 to defend you title!

Out With the Old, In With the New

Its been 10 years since I first applied for my passport. I was 16 and going to Europe with my soccer team. I remember it being my goal to fill all the pages. About 6 different versions of a Brazilian Visa, Paraguayan "Visas" and numerous stamps, I retire my first 10 year history of an International Vagabond. We must forge on to places still left to be discovered, white sandy beaches, mountaintops, hole in the wall shops and bars, conversations in village squares, flat tires on back road in foreign lands, organic coffee raised on sacred land: its about the journey and life is the destination! Thank you for traveling with me and I look forward to seeing you on the road less traveled.

Sugar coats floors under wobbly tables

Packets burst open with three legged pressure

Coffee and cream spill out of the glass

Winds seep in cooling steamy potatoes as doors remain ajar

A packet for the coffee, a packet for the table

Stir it's smoothness without extra shake

Wait for nourishing morsals to fill hungry mouths

Digest. Nap.

Lunch anyone?

A peaceful meditation

One night
a conversation.
One day
a saxaphonist.
Does she speak?
Does he play?
One note
a piece of inspiration.
One note
a peaceful meditation.

No Reservations

I had seen this place long before Anthony Bourdain made a fuss about it on his show No Reservations. Lets just say it may or may not be the Worlds Largest Cuban Torta, but it is delicious!

"One moment prior to connection between theory and revelation"

Drawn on my spiritual Etch-a-Sketch
A modern ritual
Supplemented with ancient chants
Banter, Bangrha, Banging and Baptism
Buddhism and its discontents
Air ducts conditioning overheating Chakra vents
Meditation is imminent
Minds melding like mushroom melange
Sauce, hot sticky and experimental
Spiced like hot horseradish Serrano
Harrissa hot dog ketchup
Virgin, on Poppyseed buns
Buttered and blissful
Experiment successful.
